Consultation on the draft decree on administrative case proceedings

The 2nd Consultation Workshop on the Draft of the Presidential Decree on Administrative Case Proceedings in Phonsavanh, Xieng Khouang province, was reported on Vientiane Times yesterday.

Following up to the first consultation workshop in Pakse, ILSTA in cooperation with the People’s Supreme Court Lao PDR organised the second edition of the workshop. The consultations gathered representatives and experts from nine northern provinces. This time the discussion focused on the scope of the decree and the types of claims in the administrative court committee. We believe that the establishment of a national independent administrative jurisdictions will be an essential milestone towards becoming the state that truly governed by rule of law.
