A workshop on writing court decisions for district court judges was held on 28th September, this morning at the People’s Supreme Court Research and Training Institute, organized by the People’s Supreme Court of Lao PDR (PSC) and the Institute for Legal Support and Technical Assistance (ILSTA).
The opening ceremony of the workshop was chaired by Mr. Bounkhouang Thavisack, Vice President of the People’s Supreme Court of Lao PDR, and Mr. Richard Philippart, President of ILSTA. The first day of this workshop gathered around 59 district court judges from across the country, the heads of departments, deputy heads of departments and heads of courts of the people’s supreme court.
The purposes of this training are to strengthen judges’ skills in writing court decisions and to make the judgment expeditious, accurate, fair and uniform throughout the country.
