Workshop on Crime Types and Organized Crime in Xieng Khouang province.

ILSTA, in cooperation with Office of the People’s Prosecutor of the Lao PDR organized a Workshop on Crime Types and Organized Crime on 31st January in Xieng Khouang province.

The workshop was chaired by Ms. Bounthai Pankeo, Director General of Department of Planning and International Cooperation, OSPP, Mr. Chankhai Soudthijuk, the head of the People’s Prosecutor of Xieng Khouang province and Mr. John Connolly, Director of ILSTA.

As a platform to strengthen capacities and disseminate information, the workshop gathered more than 40 government officials from the central and provincial level to exchange lesson learnt on the theoretical and type of the criminal activities. A number of training materials and the Lao Penal Code were disseminated to all attendees.
