The role of the European Union as a global legal and political actor was the theme of an Open Lecture organised at the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FLP) 24 May. The lecture was given by Dr Giovanni Zaccaroni, Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, University of Luxembourg as a part of the Open Lecture series organised by ILSTA in cooperation with the FLP.
Dr Zaccaroni covered the history of the EU and explained what roles the different bodies of the union have. The ways in which the EU interacts with other countries and what role the union plays on the global scene was further explored. As usual the presentation was followed by a lively question and answer session.
