On 11 October Mr. Somphone Lakanchanh, founder of SPL Law, held a presentation on operating a Law firm in Laos – opportunities and challenges. A range of topics such as employment law, law on foreign investment, tax law and copyright law were covered during the presentation. At the end participants asked questions about the main challenges a law firm faces, the relationship between client/lawyer and what you need to set up a law firm.
