The 14th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice

The 14th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, scheduled for 2020, but postponed to 2021 due to the global Corona-virus pandemic, is held from 7 to 12 March 2021 in Kyoto, Japan with the theme of “Advancing crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law: towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda”.
The United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice is the world’s largest and most diverse network of policy-makers, practitioners, academia, intergovernmental organizations and civil society in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice, having a global scope of sharing experiences and finding joint solutions, and ILSTA attaches great importance to these particular matters.
ILSTA has provided support and technical assistance to the participation of the Lao Delegation at the 14th Kyoto Congress as part of its journey towards a rule of law state. The Lao Delegation to the Kyoto Congress is presided by His Excellency, the Minister of Justice, Mr Xaysi Santivong.
