Ms. Alina Timus, program officer at ILSTA, conducted an open lecture on “Smuggling of Migrants” at Faculty of Law and Political Science National University of Laos on 29 May.
The lecture was attended by students, professors, and legal practitioners. Ms. Alina Timus provided useful insights about smuggling of migrants and explained the differences between smuggling of migrants and human trafficking. The attendees take turned in sharing their perceptions toward the given case study on how to distinguish SOM and HT.
At the end of the session, students raised many questions that led to interactive and interesting Q&A discussion.
