Open Lecture to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the UDHR

The 70^th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was the topic of the last Open Lecture of 2018, held on the 26^th of December at the National University of Laos.

Ms. Alina Timus, Program Officer at ILSTA presented the history of the creation of the UDHR and its founders, and the role of the Declaration as a backbone of the International Human Rights Law.

The highlight of the Open Lecture was the discussion session, which enclosed case studies and a fruitful exchange between the students, the university lecturers and governmental officials that attended the lecture.
