Madame Bundith Prathoumvanh, Vice President of the Lao Women’s Union and National Assembly Member for Khammouane Province, welcomed ILSTA on a liaison visit. The Lao Women’s Union is an active and important mass organisation with an extensive network covering the entire country from central down to village level. Discussions focused on joint cooperation opportunities, particularly in the areas of combating human trafficking, smuggling of migrants and safe migration.
